Well it was a slow week this week with only 2 checking, both from the big Continent that is on the opposite side of the world from us Down Under. Just some upside down humor.
Some interesting times for me, I have mentioned in the past that I was training and it has gotten in the way of FUN which put amateur radio well into the background. Well I have submitted the last unit in that assessment TODAY. Now back to some FUN for me and some HF station setup starting tomorrow being Sunday.
Hopefully when I get the SCU-17 setup fully between my RaspberryPi running KM4ACK setup with GPS and my FT-857d it will be off on some trips to have some fun with Winlink and JS8Call and all the other digital modes. Wish I could run VARA for Winlink but unfortunately it is stuck in Window$ environment. If we could encourage the developer to build VARA for the Pi and maybe even collaborate with people like KM4ACK Jason I would be in there to pay my $ to us it without thinking twice and I am sure there would plenty others who would do the same. I have see how it seems to work very well for people who use it and the speed is much more efficient.
